We are an accredited AAHA hospital (American Animal Hospital Association). An AAHA member hospital is part of an organized group who voluntarily participate in a program that strives for the adoption of high standards for a veterinary clinic in all areas including equipment, practice methods, and management. The objective of this organization is to serve the professional interest of all veterinarians engaged in applying the principles and techniques of modern medicine and surgery to the care of companion animals. We voluntarily have our hospital evaluated by professionals who ensure we comply with the association’s high veterinary care standards. This is our way of ensuring that our client’s pets receive the best care we can offer.
Summer is here!!! Here are some ways to keep your loving pets safe from the heat.
  • Never leave your pet in the car.
  • Make sure water is always available
  • Keeping your pet well groomed will help their hair do what it was designed to do: protect her from the sun and insulate her from the heat.
  • Watch out for antifreeze. Hot weather may tempt your pet to drink from puddles in the street, which can contain antifreeze and other chemicals.
  • Be cautious on humid days. Humidity interferes with animals’ ability to rid themselves of excess body heat. Make sure your pet doesn't overexert themselves. Taking your pet for walks in the early morning or late evening when the sun set will help prevent them from over heating.
  • Take it easy on pets that can’t deal with the heat. Elderly, very young, and ill animals have a hard time regulating their body temperature, so make sure they stay cool and out of the sun on steamy summer days.
  • Bring them inside. Animals shouldn't be left outside unsupervised on long, hot days, even in the shade.
